Neglected Memories (2025) is a group of pen and ink drawings exploring the decay of the rural environment and the memories of growing up in a small town in western Kansas.

 

These works explore the relationship between environment and memory, and how each degrades with time, leaving something dreamlike and pared down to the basic elements. Some aspects come into sharp detail, while some are flattened to a suggestion, a hint. Filled with nostalgia and a sense of loss, these works suggest that something important has been forgotten, and what's left behind is only a shadow.
